Land Surveying Party Chief

For more information, visit : www.gpinet.com / geospatial Position Overview This role involves the leadership of the day-to-day survey crew activities. The Survey Party Chief reports to the Sr. Survey Manager and supervises a field crew to recover and collect boundary evidence, collect topographic data, set and run traverse, perform RTK / RTN observations on control points, and document field conditions through pictures and sketches. The Survey Party Chief leads a field team in developing quality deliverables while working safely and efficiently and maintaining high utilization goals. Responsibilities : Uses established workflows and procedures to lead field crew procedures. Assisted in developing proper field procedures, accurate calculations, and note-taking, and was responsible for product quality and accuracy. Responsible for daily crew procedures and adherence to project requirements. Collects data for accurate DTM and surface models. Ensures timeliness of survey data collection. Responsible for field data management and distribution of survey data. Oversees the use of field survey equipment, including software and hardware updates. Responsible for setting up temporary traffic control and ensuring crew safety. Responsible for daily download of survey data Provide daily job hazard briefings and any required reports Willingness to travel out of town and other states is a plus but not required. Qualifications : High school diploma or equivalent with 5 years of experience as a Party Chief. Boundary, Right of Way, and topographic surveying experience Ability to perform field calculations and understanding of processing software a plus Organizational skills for data, field notes, and equipment
