Responsibilities:
- Perform plumbing system design calculations
- Prepare contract drawings and specifications detailing the designed systems
- Select equipment for use in building systems
- Knowledge of plumbing code(s) and applicable NFPA codes within the industry
- Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines/companies
- Attend meetings and communicate with clients to establish their needs and discuss design issues
- Incorporate sustainable design methods in buildings
- Report writing/specification preparation
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in engineering/science or a related discipline
- 10 years’ experience
- AutoCAD and Revit MEP proficiency required
- Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD), and LEED AP preferred
- Proven ability to design and draft, and general computer knowledge is a must
