About Us:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Assistant to support the day-to-day maintenance operations of our apartment community. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and carpentry
- Complete work orders and respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections of property equipment and units
- Help prepare units for new residents (make-readies)
- Maintain cleanliness of the property grounds, common areas, and amenities
- Assist with after-hours emergency maintenance when required
- Collaborate with the lead maintenance technician and property manager
- Ensure all tools and supplies are organized and properly stored
Qualifications:
- Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of general repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
