What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative position at GPK Products?
Receive, investigate and respond to all customer inquires regarding shipments, products and complaints in a timely manner. Input phone/fax/e-mailed orders and relative data into the computer by performing the following duties:
General Duties:
1. Communicate with customers by phone or e-mail concerning orders, unit pricing, returns, shipments, products, quotes or any other customer concerns.
2. Receive and enter orders by phone, e-mail, fax, or EDI.
3. Initiate communication with customers when necessary to advise on shipment delays, discrepancies on orders, and any additional information that may be necessary for the customer.
4. Handle customers in a professional manner, in all scenarios including upset customers.
5. Make changes to or cancel orders/backorders, quotes, customer returns, etc.
6. Initiate orders for replacement parts and/or for correcting errors (shortages, wrong item shipped, etc.)
7. Typing up quotes, fill out forms, and determine changes for services requested.
8. Obtain customer feedback information. (i.e. such as information on parts that we may not make, problems with shipments etc.)
9. Communicate with freight broker in regards to customer shipments.
10. Maintain customer account notes (i.e. if customers have certain order preferences, or if errors are made record information on the steps taken to reconcile the error)
11. Other duties as assigned by management
Skills/Qualifications:
1. Must have a high school diploma or GED.
2. Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts.
3. Good time management skills, ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
4. Excellent communication skills.
5. Good grammar, voice and diction.
6. Basic computer and keyboarding skills.

Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
