About the Role:
As an Instructional Aide at Faxon Academy, you will play a crucial role in supporting the academic success of our students. You will work closely with teachers and other staff members to provide individual and group assistance to students in various subjects. Your main responsibility will be to help students understand and complete assignments, as well as reinforce concepts taught in class. You will also assist in the preparation of instructional materials and help maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in education or related field
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience with technology and online learning platforms
- Experience working in a charter school or similar educational setting
Responsibilities:
- Provide academic support to students in various subjects
- Assist in the preparation of instructional materials
- Help maintain a positive and safe learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers and staff members to ensure student success
- Monitor and report student progress to teachers and administrators
