The coordinator collaborates with the Managed Care office for contract interpretation and holds primary responsibility for the design, build, testing, validation, and ongoing support of the Epic contract management applications. The position requires deep knowledge of software functionality and the revenue cycle workflows to be implemented in Epic.

Essential Duties
- Load all payor contracts for all business lines, including managed care and government contracts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve variance discrepancies in contract management.
- Ensure timely and accurate posting of contractual adjustments, and maintain weekly updates on outstanding items and build deficiencies.
- Collaborate with the Managed Care Manager to interpret contracts and clarify terms.
- Design, build, validate, and support the Epic contract management application according to Riverside Healthcare's revenue cycle workflows.
- Participate in application design, validation, and advanced design sessions to ensure accurate system configuration.
- Populate master tables and system files, ensuring adherence to naming conventions, numbering standards, and security classifications.
- Perform structured testing of applications and document testing results thoroughly.
- Track, update, and resolve system issues effectively.
- Collaborate with Principal Trainers to design and develop role-based training programs to support new workflows.
- Troubleshoot system problems reported by team members and end-users.
- Review and test new system builds and releases before implementing them in the production environment.
- Identify and propose system enhancements and improvements.
- Provide system demonstrations and training as needed.
- Assist with other system-related projects or account review as needed.
- Participate in cross-functional team initiatives to enhance system performance.
Preferred Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Epic systems, specifically in Contract management or similar roles.
- Experience with contracts, billing processes, and regulatory compliance within a healthcare setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Proficiency in Epic applications, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant software tools.
- Knowledge of APC, CPT, HCPC, ICD modifier and Rev Code preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare coding standards, billing regulations, and revenue cycle management.
- Experience with contracts, billing processes, and regulatory compliance within a healthcare setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Epic certification in Contract Management or related module(s) required within 6 months and maintain thereafter.
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Epic systems, specifically in Contract management or similar roles.
