Revenue Cycle Principal Trainer IIs are responsible for mastering revenue cycle-related applications and Riverside Healthcare associated job-specific workflows, maintaining knowledge of revenue cycle policies and procedures and regulatory standards/laws associated with the revenue cycle. They collaborate with the Revenue Cycle Principal Trainer(s) to assure development and implementation of training plans and courses for revenue cycle applications align to the build and prescribed organizational workflows, auditing classes and reviewing training materials to assure standardized and current training. They audit end users, conducting regular rounds in work setting to close the gap between current and desired work performance. The Revenue Cycle Principal Trainer II serves as a liaison between the revenue cycle training team and end users/operational leaders to the EHR System build team. The Revenue Cycle Principal Trainers II participates in workflow design, and maintain the training environment(s) assuring they gain in-depth knowledge of the system functionality and rationale for workflow design. This position's focus is Hospital and Professional Billing.

Essential Duties
- Maintains current knowledge of RHC inpatient and outpatient workflows, processes, RHC policies and procedures and associated revenue cycle legal requirements along with current EHR System-associated workflows.
- Maintains Monday-Friday, a 24 hr response time to Revenue Cycle email box and is primary responder to end user calls/Trillians for immediate assistance, submitting tickets if needed.
- Analyzes and reports on email box/end user issues/rounding results to provide training, manager, and build team feedback on identified improvement opportunities or performance improvement plans for end users, departments, and/or the software itself.
- Conduct training sessions for new hires as part of their orientation, including 30-60-90 day follow-up training and rounding.
- Train end-users on proper use of EHR System applications and RHC workflow processes within defined parameters
- Review new release/upgrade notes and plans training plan, updating documentation/reference material (e.g. tip sheets, etc.) associated with the upgrade and training the Revenue Cycle Principal Trainer.
- Serves as onsite support for software go-lives/clinic/department moves.
- The Revenue Cycle Principal Trainer II serves as a liaison between the end users/operational leaders to the EHR System build team. The Revenue Cycle Principal Trainers II participates in workflow design, and maintain the training environment(s) assuring they gain in-depth knowledge of the system functionality and rationale for workflow design.
- Informs Revenue Cycle Principal Trainer of changes needed to role-based training based upon upgrades/new releases and build design changes while Revenue Cycle Principal Trainer is responsible for creating and updating training materials used in classes.
- Develops and maintains currency of post-training reference materials/tip sheets/videos assuring easy access to end users and informing Revenue Cycle Principal Trainer of change(s) required for training materials/classes.
- Develops and assigns e-learning courses to support the overall training strategy, including troubleshooting, assigning, maintaining and reporting on revenue cycle courseware (e.g. FinThrive) utilization.
- Maintains timely rounding documentation.
- Maintains EHR System documentation records.
- Serves as an educational representative with a caseload of departments to assure LMS access, team assignments and overall LMS training assignments, and reporting of training requirements with leaders.
- Serves as General Orientation/Network faculty.
- Obtains and maintains current EHR System certifications in assigned revenue cycle applications.
- Provides demonstrations of system functionality as necessary.
- Serves as backup to all Revenue Cycle Principal Trainer job duties.
- Coordinates and communicates training logistics (courses, classrooms, AV equipment, registration, timeframes, etc.) in collaboration with other EHR System team members and operational leaders.
- Prepares and maintains the EHR System training environment(s) for hands-on training, developing training scenarios and training patients, etc. Develops materials including e-learning modules, virtual and in-person, job aids/tip sheets, and blended learning as needed.
Required Experience

- Ability to coordinate and communicate training logistics (courses, classrooms, AV equipment, registration, timeframes, etc.) in collaboration with other EHR System team members and operational leaders
- Ability to train end-users on EHR System and related documentation/revenue cycle software applications and RHC workflow processes within system parameters and document training, measuring training outcomes
- Ability to maintain currency of training materials, reference materials
- Knowledgeable with RHC billing workflows, processes, RHC policies and procedures and associated revenue cycle legal requirements
- Obtaining and maintaining EHR SYSTEM required revenue cycle (SBO, Resolute Billing and/or Professional Billing) certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education or business or health administration or management preferred.
- HFMA CRCR or NAHMA CHAA preferred
- Education in training, instructional design, education or revenue cycle expertise desired
