Highlights of the Job
Responsible for overseeing day to day operations of approximately 30 employees (2 shifts)
Ensure compliance with all regulations (OSHA, DOT, etc)
Training employees (developing their skills, abilities and knowledge)
Conduct meetings with the plant (safety, quality, control, etc)
Conduct employee reviews and evaluations
Monitor unloading and grading of inbound materials
Rectify quality control issues and institute additional quality control checks as needed
Monitor hourly productions and find ways to improve operations
Monitor inventory levels and help develop outbound shipping schedules
Monitor equipment maintenance with an emphasis on preventative maintenance
Monitor and control flow of trucks within the plant

The company is a leading provider of recycling, waste management and document destruction services. We recycle a broad array of materials ranging from papers to plastics to metals and are experienced working with organizations of all sizes and industries. We currently operate two plants (in Rockville, MD and Baltimore, MD) where the recyclables are processed. The Plant Manager will oversee the Rockville recycling facility.
