GPS  is hiring  Q.C. Lab Technicians for  immediate positions in  Columbia, SC.    Why You Should Apply :

  • Hours : 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM, Monday through Friday

What You Will Do :

  • Conduct chemical experiments and tests using techniques like gas chromatography and spectroscopy.
  • Prepare chemical solutions and analyze solids, liquids, and gases for compliance.
  • Monitor product quality and processing to meet standards.
  • Maintain and clean lab equipment, ensuring a safe and organized workspace.
  • Assist with plant raw material handling and maintain inventory.
  • Inspect and prepare samples for shipment, following regulatory requirements.
  • Record, compile, and interpret test results.
    • What Is Needed :
  • Education :

    • Minimum : High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Preferred :  Associate's Degree in a related field
  • Experience :

    • Minimum : 1 year in a related role.

  • Preferred : 3 years in a similar position.
  • Skills :

    • Basic written and verbal communication.

  • Strong math skills and knowledge of wet lab chemistry.
  • Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions.
  • Safety First  Attitude :

    • Follow all safety protocols, including wearing proper protective equipment.

  • Maintain a clean workspace and report any unsafe conditions.

    • Drug-free workplace and criminal background check required.  EOE
