GPS  is currently seeking motivated individuals to join our team as  2nd  Shift General Laborers / Assemblers  in  Newberry, SC   Our client :  A Fortune 1000 manufacturing company that produces linear irrigation equipment, windmill support structures, lighting, traffic, and steel utility poles.   Why you should apply :

  • Starting  pay : $ 15.90 / hr
  • 2 nd   shift :  4 : 00 PM – 2 : 00 AM Monday – Thursday, Friday & Saturday as needed, will train on 1st shift

    • What you will do :

  • Complete wrapping, assembly, shipping, packaging, and other labor tasks in a manufacturing environment such as :

    • Wrap poles from the mill per customer requirements

  • Removing straps from coils / poles
  • Pulling cable as needed in the assembly of poles
  • Operating basic hand and air-operated tools
  • Conducting quality checks using various gauges and tools
  • Unloading receiving trucks and checking received goods

    • What is needed :

  • Stable work history, with 2-3 years of manufacturing experience
  • Ability to accurately use and read a tape measure
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines and procedures
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift up to 50 lbs

    • A drug-free workplace and a criminal background check are required.EOE
