ABOUT THE POSITION

Hiring Manager:                Director of Digital Marketing

Employment:                      Full-time (In office five days per week)

Location:                             Fort Lauderdale

The Marketing team's mission is to enhance and communicate the firm's brand and product messages, increase brand awareness, and grow assets under management. This encompasses advertising, branding, running marketing campaigns, visualizing data, and designing materials that align with the firm's messaging. The team also focuses on digital marketing, event coordination, public relations, and supporting investor relations to maintain a positive image and attract investment.

Analyzing client and prospect behavior informs content strategy and client experience improvements, while generating leads for the salesforce. The Marketing team collaborates with Sales and other departments to ensure a seamless client journey and to reinforce the GQG brand's market position.

This internship presents a unique opportunity focused on data storytelling through web-based data visualization, tailored for the GQG brand. The role is designed for individuals with a technical background in computer science, data science, or a related field, who are enthusiastic about combining data insights with storytelling.

In a 10-week period, the successful applicant will deliver a web-based data visualization that illustrates a compelling story for the GQG brand and unique selling proposition. The person in this role is expected to join the team with a willingness to learn and contribute new ideas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide visual and technical guidance for the data visualization project.
• Develop a high impact data visualization experience with a focus on enhancing the end-user experience.
• Analyze data to measure the effectiveness of the visualization.
• Collaborate with the global marketing team, managing communication across different time zones.
• Acquire a broad understanding of the investment management landscape.
• Exhibit creative vision and passion for storytelling through data.
• Deliver a robust and responsive web application compatible with various browsers and devices.
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, data science, or a related field.
• Advanced skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience in creating advanced, responsive web-based data visualizations using JavaScript libraries such as D3.
• Strong design sense, with knowledge of color theory, interaction design, layout, and typography.
• Ability to deploy web applications within a content management system (CMS), like WordPress.
• An understanding of user experience (UX) and client experience (CX).
• Strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently on projects.
• Results-oriented and high-performing, with excellent attention to detail.
• Professional demeanor with a strong work ethic and intellectual curiosity.
