About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Compensation Consultant to join our team and lead the design, implementation, and management of enterprise-wide compensation strategies for a global organization with a workforce of 5,000 employees. This role will be pivotal in driving compensation programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent while ensuring compliance, equity, and alignment with business goals.
In this highly strategic role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives, HR leadership, and business partners on all matters related to compensation structures, market trends, regulatory compliance, and total rewards strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compensation Strategy & Design:
- Develop, implement, and manage global compensation programs (base pay, variable pay, equity plans, etc.) to align with the company’s business objectives and market competitiveness.
- Lead market analysis, benchmarking, and salary surveys to ensure pay structures remain competitive and aligned with best practices.
- Collaborate with C-level leaders to design executive compensation plans and long-term incentive programs.
- Consultation & Partnership:
- Partner with HR leaders, Finance, Legal, and business units to ensure compensation programs are effectively communicated and implemented across the organization.
- Provide guidance and recommendations on job evaluations, salary ranges, pay equity, and regulatory compliance.
- Advise on mergers, acquisitions, and organizational restructures from a compensation perspective.
- Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international compensation laws and regulations.
- Maintain knowledge of emerging compensation trends and best practices, including pay transparency laws, DEI initiatives, and remote work compensation models.
- Data & Reporting:
- Manage compensation reporting and analytics to provide insights and influence decision-making.
- Create dashboards and reports for executive leadership to monitor compensation trends, budget impact, and pay equity.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in compensation consulting or total rewards, with a focus on large enterprises (5,000 employees).
- Proven track record of leading complex compensation projects across multiple geographies and business units.
- Expertise in job architecture, salary structure design, variable pay, and executive compensation.
- Strong knowledge of market benchmarking tools (e.g., Mercer, Radford, Willis Towers Watson).
- Familiarity with global pay practices and regulatory compliance, including FLSA, OFCCP, and pay transparency laws.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively engage with senior leadership.
