Position Overview : The Senior HR Business Partner will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, driving strategic HR initiatives that align with business goals. With a focus on performance management, succession planning, compensation planning, and organizational effectiveness, this individual contributor role requires a seasoned professional with deep expertise in the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Partner closely with senior leadership to understand business objectives and develop HR strategies that drive performance, engagement, and long-term success.
  • Lead and execute performance management processes, ensuring alignment with business goals and fostering a culture of continuous feedback and improvement.
  • Oversee succession planning efforts, identifying and developing future leaders to secure the firm's long-term talent pipeline.
  • Manage the end-to-end compensation planning process, including bonus structures, equity grants, and market benchmarking to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices.
  • Provide strategic advice on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives to support evolving business needs.
  • Act as a key advisor on complex employee relations matters, offering solutions that align with the firm's culture and values.
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to deliver best-in-class talent programs and solutions.
  • Utilize HR analytics to provide insights and recommendations that inform business decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, fostering an inclusive culture that attracts and retains top talent.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, mitigating risk and safeguarding the firm's reputation.

Required Qualifications :

  • Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
  • 15-20 years of progressive HR experience, with significant time spent in the financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and advise executive-level leadership on complex HR and business matters.
  • Proven expertise in performance management, succession planning, compensation planning, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of the unique challenges within the financial services industry.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of building strong relationships across all levels of an organization.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable HR strategies.
  • Comfortable operating in a high-impact, individual contributor role with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience working in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Certification in HR-related disciplines (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP).
  • Familiarity with leadership assessment tools and frameworks.
