This pivotal position will help drive our service through strategic planning, consistent operational execution, and continuous development of our managers.
Essential Functions
- Achieve annual revenue, margin and net income objectives set by the company
- Develop annual profit, expense, and income budget
- Assist in the development of the annual operating plan and implementation of strategic initiatives of the Service Department
- Organize calibration service delivery in a way that optimizes efficiency and profitable growth
- Lead, motivate, and develop high-performing Service Managers; conduct ongoing meetings with Service Managers to ensure service standards and capabilities are met
- Periodically travel with Service Managers to support operational excellence and consistency of our customers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with company personnel, leveraging support and education when needed
- Implement scorecards, surveys, or other methods to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs; work with personnel to alter training programs based on evaluation
- Own corporate safety goals; foster a culture of safety through the implementation of safety deliverables
- Own and consistently monitor inventory across all service teams
- Coordinate and conduct annual service meetings in conjunction with the Director of Sales
- Attend scheduled meetings with Leadership; regularly meet with the Vice President to review metrics, provide status updates, and navigate challenges
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field strongly preferred
- Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in a leadership role; and five (5) years of experience in service delivery industry required
- Superior ability to manage and develop direct reports
- Proven record of accomplishment of operational efficiency
- Proficient presentation and communication skills, including written and verbal
- Ability to travel to customer sites and business locations, periodically
Physical and Working Conditions
- This position will be stationed in a controlled office environment with minimal exposure to hazards, extreme weather, or loud noise
- Ability to remain in a sedentary position for extended periods of time
- Constantly operate a computer and other office equipment including phone
