What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sous Chef position at Grá Restaurant?
Grá is a Michelin Bib dinner restaurant in Echo Park specializing in organic sourdough pizza that is 100% naturally fermented, topped with exciting new modern ingredients, and cooked out of a classic Neopolitan-style wood burning oven.
We are looking for a talented & passionate Chef who truly loves this industry and wants to be proud of their work and deepen their knowledge for cuisine, pizza experience is preferable.
To be successful in this role, you should be very organised, passionate, creative, a great team player and leader, understand the high level of grace and finesse involved in making delicious food and have experience of cooking with different techniques and styles.
The menu's theme revolves around the beauty of natural fermentation from our sourdough pizza, natural wine to seasonal ferments. A lot of dishes will include a wide variety of pickling & preservation techniques- expect to prepare housemade kimchi & other lacto ferments from ingredients in the hieght of it's season.
This is an hourly positon that also receives big tips!
