Title: Drum Instructor
Time Status: Part-Time
Classification: Contractor/1099
Reports to: Director of GPAC
Summary:
The Drum Instructor for Grace Performing Arts Center will provide drum lessons while fostering a Christ-centered and engaging learning environment for students of all ages and skill levels.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide drum lessons to students, focusing on rhythm, technique, and performance skills.
· Create personalized lesson plans tailored to students' goals, skill levels, and interests.
· Teach fundamental drumming techniques, including hand and foot coordination, rudiments, reading drum notation, and rhythm development.
· Maintain a professional, Christ-honoring, and encouraging rapport with students and their families.
· Track student progress and provide regular feedback.
Qualifications:
· Must be a follower of Jesus Christ and have a lifestyle that demonstrates obedience.
· Committed to the core values of the church.
· Proficiency in multiple drumming styles and techniques.
· Ability to work with students of different ages and skill levels.
· A positive attitude at all times and poise under pressure.
· High attention to detail and accuracy with complete follow-through.
· Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
