What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping-PRN position at Grace Brethren Village Inc?
Job Responsibilities
1. Assure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical.
2. Coordinated daily housekeeping duties with nursing services when performing routine cleaning in resident living areas.
3. Assure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner.
4. Assure that established infection control and universal practices are maintained when performing housekeeping duties.
5. Keep work areas free of hazardous objects.
6. Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
7. Keep supervisor informed of supple needs.
8. Clean work/supply carts, equipment, etc. as necessary or directed.
9. Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned.
10. Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily assignments.
11. Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, etc. in resident rooms, recreational areas, etc. daily as instructed.
12. Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish bathroom fixtures.
13. Clean floors, to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, striping, waxing, buffing, disinfecting, etc.
14. Clean carpets, to include vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting, etc.
15. Clean walls and ceiling by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, deodorizing, etc.
16. remove dirt, dust, grease, film, etc. from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions.
17. Clean hallways.
18. Discard waste trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacle with plastic liners.
19. Clean vacant rooms as assigned.
20. Discard infectious wastes into appropriate containers.
21. Maintain the confidentiality of resident information.
22. Honor the residents' personal and property rights.
23. Turn in all found articles to the charge nurse.
Must have weekend availability.
