Forge Curriculum Team Purpose Statement :

To advance the mission and vision of Forge through properly equipping teachers to enrich the minds of all students at Forge. The Curriculum Team sets the standard for educational development, processes, and qualifications to prepare students for the next stage in their educational careers, whether that be for the next grade, college, or entering the work force. Must create an encouraging teaching environment for all students and plan to adjust as the needs of students shifts and develops. Possess a mindset of continuous growth and strive to exceed industry standards to create a legacy of exceptional well-rounded students both academically and spiritually.

Forge Christian High School Teacher's Purpose Statement :

To efficiently and successfully meet educational needs of all students in a manner that promotes excellence and develops a Biblical worldview. Teachers will execute a level of implementation and growth, as needed, in the key instructional strategies which are integrated into the classroom observation tool. Teachers will act timely and professionally under the completion of various administrative and curricular tasks require by the Head of School and included in the summative review tool. Teachers shall encourage and foster the spiritual and educational wellbeing of all students.

Forge Christian High School Teacher's Responsibilities :

Primary Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate daily a relationship with Jesus that is filled with grace and truth
  • Discern and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit throughout the day
  • Ability to teach dual-credit Chemistry and / or dual-credit Anatomy and Physiology with excellence
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and expertise in the following areas : relationships, team building, teacher leadership, communication, conflict resolution, creativity, problem solving, time management, and making wise decisions
  • Participate in the continuous school improvement process, including the accreditation process
  • For each course that you will be teaching, the following should be completed and submitted for review to the Head of School

Post weekly lesson plans, classroom resources and homework assignments in FACTS by the designated time.

  • Course description, syllabus, and an updated curriculum map according to the rubric established within Curriculum Trak, for each course that you will be teaching.
  • At the completion of each semester insure that Expected Student Outcomes have been entered and updated
  • Participate in ongoing curriculum development
  • Implement research-based instructional strategies, targets and methods using resources such as "Teach Like a Champion," "The First Days of School" and other sources that will enable multi-sensory instruction, individual small group instruction, cooperative learning, and Socratic Instruction
  • Utilize technology as a supplemental tool to support instruction
  • Teach under the direction of the Holy Spirit integrate Scriptural concepts, truths, and application into the instruction within all disciplines with the majority of units containing high level Biblical illumination
  • Utilize ongoing formative and summative assessments to inform, modify and adapt curriculum and instructional practices that will meet various learning styles and student needs
  • Attend all faculty meetings, workshops, and other required professional meetings
  • Punctually submit attendance and grades according to campus policy
  • Apply all intervention procedures including anecdotal records which may include specific strategies already noted for student intervention
  • Interpret and analyze student performance data
  • Submit orders for books and materials for the next school year in conjunction with department heads
  • Correspond effectively with other staff, parents, and students as needed
  • Other Responsibilities :

  • Instruct students during routine drills and live situations : Fire, Intruder, etc.
  • Take attendance each class period.
  • Measurable Goals :

  • Formal and drop in observations performed by administrative team or Head of School
  • Review of parent and / or student feedback surveys as applicable
  • Annual summative review conducted with Head of School
  • Educational needs of all students are met in a manner that promotes excellence and develops Biblical worldview
  • Implementation and growth strategies are integrated into the classroom
  • Timely and professional completion of various administrative and curricular tasks required by Forge Head of School and included in the summative review
  • Position Requirements :

  • Passionate relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Servant leadership
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college / university required
  • Master's degree from an accredited college / university required
  • Valid ACSI or State teacher's license required
  • Excellent relational skills with people of all ages
  • Clear on structure, mission, vision, and goals
  • 1-3 Years of science teaching experience
  • Proficient in various computer software including Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Office 365, Google Workspace, etc.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and academic information
  • Demonstrate competency in all academic areas assigned to teach
  • The attitude to go above and beyond, to provide service and excellence in each area of admissions at Forge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Highly organized and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and make decisions regarding administrative plans
  • Communicate and demonstrate an attitude that is Friendly, Fast, Fluid, and Flexible.
  • Staff Requirements :

  • Be present for all Staff Meetings pertinent to your role, unless sick or on vacation.
  • Typically held 1-2x / month on the same day / time to plan accordingly

  • Work "All Staff Required" events.

    Monday- Friday : 7 : 30am-4 : 00pm

  • This is a full-time salaried position with a 12-month pay schedule and vacation time according to the Employee Handbook.
