Job: Special Needs Pastor

Position description: Ensures operational excellence for the Special Needs Ministry for weekend services, connects with local community partners centered on serving individuals with special needs, oversees all volunteers and handles pastoral care of families and volunteers, and supports ministries to serve members of the special needs population.

- Heart to support and collaborate with other ministry leads so that they can serve members of the special needs' population in their respective ministries
Preferred:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in special education
- Classroom Teaching or Ministry Experience with individuals with special needs
General Responsibilities:
- Grow the Buddy Burrow Ministry, offering Buddy Burrow at 3 services each weekend, consistently growing both the attendance and spiritual development of the individuals in the Buddy Burrow
- Meet with Creative regularly to discuss marketing strategy for the Buddy Burrow to ensure that if a family has a child with special needs, they know our ministry exists and is thriving
- Recruit, train, and retain Buddy Burrow volunteers
- Pastoral Care for Buddy Burrow Volunteers and Families
- Oversee the Buddy Burrow program during weekend services to ensure operational excellence
- Offer support for other ministries to establish accommodations for members of the special needs population in their ministries
- Establish and maintain connections with Community Partners who are serving individuals with special needs
- Create and oversee the growth of an adult special needs ministry program
Additional Responsibilities:
- Attend staff meetings and other team meetings as required by the Executive Director and Campus Pastor
- All else as assigned by Executive Leadership
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.50 - $25.50 per hour
Expected hours: 16 per week
