What are the responsibilities and job description for the Development Coordinator position at Grace Construction Consultants?
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development team to ensure the successful progression of projects from land acquisition through commencement of construction
- Draft, distribute, and track service agreements, RFP's, and contractsas part of the due diligence process ensuring completion of the document life cycle.
- Track milestone dates and deadlines ensuring contract compliance and strict adherence to deadlines.
- Maintain strict compliance to filing standards
- Create, update, and maintain contract templates and guidelines to ensure efficiency and consistency across projects
- Complete various applications, forms, and documents on behalf of the development team
- Research zoning regulations, permit requirements, and other regulatory considerations that will affect project feasibility
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and take notes
Education:
- Associate’s degree in paralegal studies or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in the construction industry.
- Experience with real estate transactions, contracts, and entitlements is highly desirable.
Skills:
- The ideal candidate will have an understanding of real estate transactions, contracts, and entitlements as it relates to real estate acquisition and project development.
- Exceptionally organized, detail oriented, coachable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Takes initiative, demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail, and carries multiple projects through to completion.
- Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal professionally with clients, vendors, and co-workers on phone and in person.
- Has strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Is versatile and flexible with the ability and willingness to take on new responsibilities and tasks as requested
- Can work independently and collaboratively, prioritize work, and ask questions when necessary.
- Works under pressure with tight time constraints and has the ability to deal with frequent interruptions, unresolved situations, frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
- Strong ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality.
