How You Will Serve at Grace :
Position Summary
Reporting to the Communications Director, the Communications Specialist is responsible for executing the churchs visual and digital communication efforts. The ideal candidate has strong graphic design skills and can create compelling sermon series graphics, promotional materials, and digital content that aligns with our churchs mission and brand.
This role also involves managing social media content, responding to online engagement (comments, DMs, and emails), updating the website, and assisting with other communication needs as they arise.
This is a 40-hour per week, full-time position. This position is non-exempt.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain consistency with the churchs branding across all platforms
- Assist in managing external communications (advertising, promotion, press releases, etc.)
- Collaborate with Communications Department to design sermon series graphics, event promotions, and other digital and print materials
- Create engaging content for social media platforms. Monitor and respond to comments, direct messages, emails and other online interactions
- Update and maintain the church website, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Assist in developing strategies to increase engagement and reach
- Collaborate with ministry leaders to create visuals that support their initiatives
- Build cross-functional relationships with critical church staff, across all campuses
- Train ministry leaders in the proper use of the Communications Process and timelines
- Recruit, develop, and train volunteers to assist with the Communications Department as needed
- Assist with Sunday Broadcast needs as needed
What Youll Bring :
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs)
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience
Associates degree from a 2-year college and / or 4 years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
