How You Will Serve at Grace:

Position Summary

Reporting to the Human Resources Director the Screenings Coordinator will support key administrative and operational functions for the Screenings Process. The Screenings Coordinator will work with staff at the 3 campuses to support their volunteer onboarding. Success in this position requires a high level of trust, confidentiality and discretion. The ideal candidate will be able to handle multiple projects at once, and be able to work independently and as part of a team.

The expectation is that this position typically works 15 hours per week, which is a Category B position for the church. Category B means the incumbent will work less than 20 scheduled hours per week.

Primary Responsibilities

• Create and maintain all volunteer and staff files
• Archive outdated files for volunteers and staff
• Initiate and follow up on all volunteer background checks in a timely manner
• Initiate new employee background checks and communicate results to Human Resources
• Communicate to Checkr any issues with background checks or software
• Complete weekly audit to identify any volunteers serving in Kidventure or GFYouth who are not properly screened
• Complete monthly audit to identify any volunteers or staff whose background check is expiring and requires a new one
  
• Complete quarterly audit for all screened volunteers to identify volunteers who are no longer serving
• Send inquiries, review, and maintain all personal references for both staff and volunteers
• Ensure all components of the approval process are followed and completed for each volunteer and new hire
• Inform Human Resources Director and relevant ministry leaders about volunteers that don’t pass the background check or reference check
• Process parent passes and one-time event clearances as needed on a weekly basis and track number of times passes are used or events are attended
• Update PCO profiles of volunteers and staff with documents and information relevant to the screenings process
• Database entry as needed
• Train relevant staff members on the screenings process
  
• Manage, process, and submit expenses through Nexonia
  
• Attend staff meetings, staff retreats, leadership meetings and corporate events as required

What You’ll Bring:

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs)

• Associates degree from a 2-year college and/or 4 years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Demonstrated experience handling sensitive and confidential documentation
• Familiarity with the principles and operational aspects of various HR functions
• A history of exceptional attention to detail
• Demonstrated history of decision making
• Strong interpersonal skills & the ability to effectively work with a wide range of individuals
  
• Proven ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and written
• An active Covenant Member of Grace Fellowship
• Working knowledge of Google Suite & Excel

• Salvation by Grace: The blood shed by Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only grounds for salvation of all who believe. Only those who receive Jesus Christ by faith are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become the children of God
• The Physical Return of Christ: The personal and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ is our “blessed hope” and has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer
• The Bodily Resurrection: There will be a bodily resurrection of all the dead. The believer will be welcomed to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, and the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting, conscious punishment
• The Church: The true Church consists of all such persons who, through saving faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the Body of Christ of which He is the Head
