Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time Clinical Mental Health Therapist to provide Functional Family Therapy (FFT) services to youth and their families. In this role, you will work closely with families to address high-risk behaviors and barriers to engagement while delivering evidence-based treatment. You will receive extensive training and supervision in the FFT model, empowering you to succeed and thrive as a therapist.
This is a salaried position with a small caseload of 10-12 clients to ensure high-quality, individualized care. No prior FFT experience is required, as all necessary training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive initial assessments, including safety planning, systemic strengths and needs evaluation, and analysis of contributing factors.
- Maintain a caseload of 10-12 clients, engaging the entire family unit in active, change-oriented treatment.
- Implement treatment plans, intervention strategies, and case outcome reviews in alignment with the FFT model.
- Provide direct clinical treatment using evidence-based methods compatible with FFT, including family therapy, behavior modification, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
- Collaborate with key participants and systems to ensure alignment and cooperation throughout the treatment process.
- Maintain clear, concise documentation of treatment efforts for peer and supervisory review and FFT model compliance.
- Participate in all required FFT training, supervision, and consultation activities.
Qualifications
Education
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field (required).
Licensure
- Professional licensure or working toward licensure preferred (e.g., LPC, LISW, LMSW, LMFT).
Experience (Preferred but not required)
- Experience with pragmatic family therapies (e.g., structural, strategic, functional).
- Individual therapy with children and adults using cognitive behavioral techniques.
- Marital therapy using behaviorally-based approaches.
- Behavioral therapy targeting behavior change.
