Summary
As the Director of Health Information Management, you will play a vital role in managing and overseeing health information systems to ensure accurate medical records and compliance with regulations. This position is crucial for maintaining the integrity of patient data and supporting our vision of providing exceptional healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Manage the health information management department, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
- Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of medical records and patient information systems.
- Implement policies and procedures for effective management of health information.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper documentation practices are followed.
- Conduct regular audits of medical records to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Provide training and support to staff on health information management practices.
- Stay updated on changes in healthcare laws and regulations affecting health information management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Proven experience in managing health information systems or medical records.
- RHIT certification Required
- RHIA certification Preferred
- Registration with American Health Information Management Association
