Grace Healthcare Pros is a leading healthcare staffing provider dedicated to connecting skilled professionals with top-tier medical facilities. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Echo Sonographer to join a dynamic cardiovascular team in Tacoma, WA.
Job Summary:
The Echo Sonographer is responsible for performing echocardiographic imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing cardiovascular conditions. This individual will work closely with cardiologists and healthcare teams to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform 2D, Doppler, and color flow echocardiograms, including transthoracic (TTE), transesophageal (TEE), and stress echocardiography.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining processes and ensuring comfort.
- Analyze and assess echocardiographic images for quality and accuracy.
- Collaborate with physicians to interpret results and assist with patient diagnoses.
- Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment.
- Document patient records and imaging findings in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Follow regulatory and safety standards (HIPAA, OSHA, ASE guidelines).
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in echocardiography techniques and technology.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
- Certification: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI required.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in echocardiography required.
- Proficiency in echocardiographic imaging techniques, Doppler studies, and ultrasound physics.
- Strong patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
