Summary
As an Ultrasonographer, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. This position is essential to our mission of providing exceptional patient care and supporting healthcare professionals in their efforts to improve health outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures while explaining the process clearly.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to discuss findings and contribute to patient care decisions.
- Maintain accurate records of ultrasound procedures and results for medical documentation.
- Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques to enhance service delivery.
- Adhere to safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Assist in training new staff or students in ultrasound techniques as needed.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved program of Ultrasound/Sonography, or equivalent.
- Certification as an Ultrasonographer (ARDMS or equivalent) is required.
- ARDMS and RVT Registered or if new graduate, must be ARDMS eligible and pass a test in at least one area (ie Abdomen, OBGYN) including physics within one year of employment and pass the RVT exam within 18 months of employment
- Proven experience in Ob/Gyn or diagnostic radiology is preferred.
- NM license to practice as a Sonographer.
- 2-3 years of Hospital based Sonography experience.
