Grace Hebert Curtis Architects (GHC) is looking to add experienced, outgoing interior design professionals to our Federal team in Pensacola, Florida. We excel through inter-disciplinary collaboration in a relaxed, productive environment allowing team members to excel using their expertise and talents.ResponsibilitiesBe responsible for space planning, developing, and executing technical documentation including interpreting and organizing project team assignmentsCoordinate production of schematic, design development, and construction documents in collaboration with Project ManagerPerform construction administration duties including RFI’s, RFP’s, change orders, etc.Establish budget, task schedule, and other components of the work plan with Project ManagerWork with the project team to envision the design for the projectAssemble fabrics, finishes, and selections for review and use in the projectWork with the design team to craft the interior architectural envelope to align with the concept storyBe responsible for writing FF&E specifications; assembling information about selections, preparing detailed drawings of the furniture for integration in specifications, preparing and issuing of specifications and revisions under the direction of the Senior Interior DesignerWork with design and architectural team to prepare drawing sets, and document interior architectural design in construction documents, including floor plans, RCPs, interior elevations, and details.Be responsible for internal presentation of project design materials to senior leadership for reviewParticipate in marketing efforts and may lead presentations to prospective clientsWork with engineering consultants through schematic and design development phasesAttend site meetings with owner, consultants, and contractor inclusive of FF&E installation, as directed by PM or Senior DesignerWork hard, play hard, and dominate the day!Required SkillsA professional degree in Interior Design or Architecture8 years of experienceProficiency in Revit, 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software; Revit strongly preferredAbility to direct and coordinate work efforts of internsExperience in all phases and aspects of a projectFamiliarity with building codes, specifications, building and engineering systemsUnderstanding of project management processEffective verbal and written communication skillsCollaborative and professional work ethicLicensure preferred or within 12 months of hireBachelor’s Degree from a 4 year CIDA accredited Interior Design program or Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degreeNCIDQ certification or preparing to test; sitting for a test is highly encouragedPossesses knowledge of building codes and the ADA / ABAStrength in interior architectural designAny experience with implementation of design requirements of Army Corps of Engineers, NAVFAC, and Air Force strongly desired, but not required.BenefitsEmployer-paid health insurance, effective the 1st of the month after date of hireProfit sharing bonuses401(k) plan with an employer matchEmployer-paid short-term disability, long-term disability, and life and AD&D insuranceOther voluntary benefits including vision, dental, accident insurance, critical illness, hospital indemnity, and supplemental life insurance are availablePaid Time OffHolidaysEmployee Assistance Program
