Your Responsibilities:
Start your shift by receiving a comprehensive shift report to ensure seamless care continuity.
Assume leadership by coordinating the care of residents with appropriate personnel.
Maintain accountability by accurately counting narcotics with the off-going nurse.
Adhere to facility, state, and federal regulations while administering scheduled medications. Perform scheduled treatments, wound assessments, and documentation as per facility policy.
Document vital information on residents, including 7-day assessments for MDS documentation, alert charting, monthly summaries, and incidents/accidents.
Participate in admission assessments, transfers, deaths, physician orders, and prepare for physician rounds.
Your regular attendance is essential to our team's success.
Communicate resident or staff issues to appropriate personnel.
Attend meetings and in-services as required.
The 11 pm ? 7 am nurse is responsible for neighborhood medication sheet re-caps.
Requirements:
Education:
Completion of a Practical Nurse Program.
Completion of a Registered Nurse program.
Experience:
One year of experience in a nursing environment.
Preferred: Three years of experience in geriatric nursing.
Professional Membership, Licensures, Certifications:
Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of PA.
Registered Nurse in the state of PA.
