Position: Stock Clerk
Reports to the Messhall manager
Position Summary
The Stock Clerk works under the direction of the Messhall manager. The Storeperson performs a wide variety of receiving, storage, rotation, inventory, and cleaning tasks under general supervision. Performance is evaluated on compliance with instructions, accepted receiving, rotation, and inventory practices, and sanitary requirements.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. The ability to write simple correspondence.
Math Skills
The ability to perform basic math skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to manipulate or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to communicate. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch, and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. However, while lifting amounts above 30 pounds a partner must be used. The employee is required to stand for approximately 90% of the time and will frequently be required to bend.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to wet/or humid conditions and extreme heat and cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Assemble and maintains equipment.(will be removed)
• Ensuring that proper sanitization and cleaning processes and procedures are followed per HACCP guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and order of work area including refrigeration units, freezer units and dry storage locations.
• Ensure GMI 5 star customer service stand and client standard of customer service is met at all times.
• Complies with all GMI safety procedures at all times
• Follows HACCP processes at all times.
• Required reports are completed in an accurate and timely manner, including HACCP and MCFMIS. IE Pull Sheets & Pic Lists.
• Ensure all inbound orders & IMT’s are checked and acknowledged for accuracy and turned in to MCFMIS clerk upon receipt.
• Remove excess ice from freezer floor upon discovery.
• Pull Sheets returned to requesting authority & acknowledged with receipt of signature.
• Ensure all items received are labeled, dated and stored utilizing FIFO(first in first out) method.
• Responsible for connecting BIB to juice/soda machine.
• Inventory-to be conducted weekly with GMI Mgmt.
• Maintain security of all controllable items and refrigerators under lock and key.
• Complies with all GMI administrative requirements at all times
• Ensure that all GMI presentation standards are met at all times
• All other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
• Successful completion of high school, vocational school or equivalent.
• One-year experience in cafeteria, restaurant or military food service facility.
• Applicant must be physically able to frequently lift objects weighing up to 30 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be knowledgeable in the following areas:
o Sanitation
Must be able to demonstrate a basic knowledge of HACCP procedures
