What are the responsibilities and job description for the PCA Personal Care Assistant position at Grace & Mercy PCS & Respite?
Responsibilities: Requesting applicants for the following areas: Rosedale, MS, Indianola, Clarksdale and Cleveland, MS.
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and toileting
- Help clients with mobility and physical activities, including walking and exercise
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and cleaning
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Monitor and report any changes in client's health or behavior
- Follow care plans and maintain documentation of services provided
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of basic caregiving techniques and principles
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
