Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance to individuals in their homes or residential facilities.
- Assist with duties such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support individuals in maintaining their independence and promoting their overall well-being.
- Ensure the rights and dignity of residents are respected and upheld.
- Provide first aid and emergency care as needed.
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding if required.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote a safe and supportive environment.
Skills:
- Experience in home care or social work is preferred.
- Knowledge of ADLs (activities of daily living) and resident rights.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to administer medications accurately and safely.
- Proficient in taking vital signs and documenting them appropriately.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond to emergencies effectively.
- Familiarity with various body systems and understanding of common health conditions.
- Strong communication skills to interact with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviors with empathy and patience.
