Summary
As a Summer Camp Teacher at Grace Montessori Academy, you will play an essential role in creating a fun and safe summer experience for our students. This position is vital to our commitment to providing exceptional childcare and educational experiences that inspire joy and learning.
Responsibilities
- Must be able to work starting at 7am daily
- Must be able to drive 15 passenger bus (no special license required)
- Supervise and engage children in various activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Plan and implement fun, educational activities that promote learning through play.
- Assist with daily routines, including meals, outdoor play, and rest periods.
- Foster a positive environment that encourages creativity, teamwork, and social skills.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and daily experiences.
- Support children with special needs or unique challenges as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to learning and play.
- We go on a lot of field trips, must be organized and safety aware.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children in a daycare or camp setting is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid Required
- Ability to create engaging activities that promote learning through play.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff.
- Energetic, positive attitude with a passion for working with young learners.
- Experience in tutoring or coaching is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with special education practices is beneficial.
