Before and After-School Teacher

Overview
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Grace Montessori Academy for the 2025-2026 school year. This role is essential in providing a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for students. The Morning and Aftercare Staff will work closely with children to facilitate a safe environment before the school day begins and after the school day ends. Student will be supervised during this time and will be able to interact with other students, color, play game and use other interactive material while they want for school to begin or wait for their parents to pick them up. Ideal candidates will have a passion for working with children and a background in education or childcare.

Duties

• Supervise and engage with students during program activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Provide support in behavior management techniques to foster a positive environment.
• Create an inclusive atmosphere for all students.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized program space conducive to be safe, clean and orderly.
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.

Experience
Candidates should possess experience or knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

• Daycare or early childhood education or experience
• Childcare practices
• Experience working with students, particularly in an educational setting
• Behavior management strategies
• Babysitting or informal childcare experience
• Understanding of childhood development principles
• General experience working with children

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.50 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
