What are the responsibilities and job description for the Montessori Early Childhood Assistant Teacher position at Grace Montessori Academy?
Grace Montessori Academy has an opening for a full time assistant teacher in a 3-6 year old classroom to begin immediately. This is a full-time position during a calendar school year. Optional part time summer hours are available.
Responsibilities are varied and the position reports directly to the lead classroom teacher.
We are looking for candidates with the following qualities and capabilities:
- Warm, kind, and caring individual
- Ability to work well in a teaching team
- Love of working with young children
- Stamina to work in a fast paced environment
- Have the physical capacity to work with young children, such as sitting on floor and being on your feet for extended periods of time
- Preferred experience with classroom management
- Willingness to receive basic Montessori training
Hours are Mon-Fri 7:45 am - 3:45 pm following a school calendar. This is a full time hourly position with benefits.
Grace Montessori Academy is a Christian school. All employees are expected to support the Christian Montessori concepts in the classroom.
