Overview
We are seeking dedicated and adaptable individuals to join our team as Substitute educators. This role is essential in providing continuity of learning and support for students in the absence of their regular teachers. As a Substitute, you will engage with students across various age groups and educational settings, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to maintain instructional continuity.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a respectful and focused learning environment.
- Provide tutoring support to students who may need additional assistance in subjects such as Math and literacy.
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere that supports students with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum.
- Assist in the development and execution of lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and needs.
- Supervise students during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Engage with students in early childhood education settings, promoting childhood development through play-based learning.
- Communicate effectively with staff and parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
Qualifications
- Experience or education in Early Childhood Education or related fields is required.
- Strong skills in behavior management to maintain a conducive learning environment.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Experience working with children, particularly in childcare or preschool settings.
- Familiarity with tutoring techniques, especially in subjects like Math.
- practices and strategies for working with children on the autism spectrum is a plus.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.70 - $14.80 per hour
