As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting patients with their daily needs, ensuring they receive the care and attention they deserve. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in patient care, a commitment to delivering exceptional service, and a passion for working in a dynamic healthcare environment. **Responsibilities:** - Provide personalized care to patients in various settings, including outpatient, inpatient, emergency medicine, and Level I and Level II Trauma Centers. - Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. - Support patients with medication management, including administration and monitoring. - Help patients with mobility, including transferring them from bed to chair or wheelchair. - Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure patients receive the best possible care. - Maintain accurate records of patient care and progress. - Demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and confidentiality. - Participate in education and training programs to enhance knowledge and skills. - Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families. **Skills:** - Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a hospital or clinic. - Familiarity with hospital medicine and emergency medicine. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including the OR and PICU. - Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices. - Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients as needed. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines. - Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. - Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. - Experience working in a teaching hospital or Level I and Level II Trauma Centers is highly valued.
