Grace Reliant's growing Grace Coffee & Cafe team is looking to invite a full-time Shift lead to help empower our individuals with developmental disabilities as they transition into competitive employment that aligns with the heart and voice of our organization. We exist to help people live more complete and independent lives. Through our many services we provide care, support, and mentorship to elderly and disabled residents in Missouri.
In this role, you will be responsible in assisting the general manager with the day-to-day duties of running the café and helping create a fun and inviting environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a friendly manner and take food and drink orders; Taking payment from customers, Preparing and serving beverages, ranging from simple to elaborate ones; Preparing and serving food items such as soups, sandwiches and pastries
- Maintain inventory and equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting and scheduling repairs
- Provide on-going support to program participants including job coaching, skill training and job training.
- Provide support to baristas and job coaches in the absence of one of the managers
- Perform opening and/or or closing tasks
- Collect data and maintain records as required by the state and Grace Reliant Health Services
- Maintain certifications in First Aid and CPR
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED
- Previous Restaurant experience
- Cooking Experience (Back of House Lead Only)
- Ability to relate to a wide range of individuals
- Ability to bend reach and lift in order to provide hands-on training to program participants
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong commitment to customer service
