Grace Reliant's growing Grace Works Academy team is looking to invite a Part-Time Vocational Mentor to help individuals learn skills for competitive employment and life, aligning with the heart and voice of our organization. We exist to help people live more complete and independent lives. Through our many services, we provide care, support, and mentorship to elderly and disabled residents in Missouri.
This role is part-time, approximately 20 to 25 hours per week, typically scheduled between 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The primary responsibility will include providing on-the-job support and guidance, transporting a program participant to and from work, and completing case notes. The ideal candidate will be a patient mentor who believes that different is good, fostering an inclusive environment where individuals can develop their skills and confidence.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing support to program participants, including mentoring skill training in accordance with the individual's needs.
- Transport supported individuals to and from their workplace safely and on time.
- Complete and maintain accurate case notes using professional, person-first language per agency and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with Grace Works Academy staff to advocate for participants and help plan their future goals.
- Facilitate program group experiences as assigned.
- Flexible availability to provide support as needed based on unique work schedules.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Over 18 years old
- Valid Driver’s License
- Clean driving record
- Background Screening
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Experience in mentorship or providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Strong communication, organization, time management, and writing skills
- Education-related or vocational mentorship experience is a plus
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with vocational mentorship or job coaching.
- Ability to adapt and provide individualized support to program participants.
