Position Overview
We are seeking a Support Staff (PSS/CRM) – Skills Trainer to provide peer support, guidance, and assistance to residents both at Hope Home and in the community. This role is vital in helping residents build stability, achieve recovery goals, and regain independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Peer Support: Provide emotional support, advocate for residents, and model personal recovery skills.
- Crisis Response: Address client emergencies and provide one-on-one support for recovery planning.
- Resource Coordination: Assist with scheduling medical appointments, therapy, and support groups.
- Life Skills Training: Educate residents on money management, tenant rights, and property care.
- Housing Assistance: Help residents find stable, affordable housing and build partnerships with landlords.
- Case Management: Monitor progress and support residents in achieving their goals.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records and complete program reports.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid PSS/CRM certification (assistance available if needed).
- Recovery Experience: Self-identify as in recovery with two years of sobriety under independent living.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Skills: Crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, effective communication, and computer proficiency.
- Certifications: Valid driver’s license, CPR, and First Aid (or obtain within 90 days).
- Language: Spanish bilingual is a plus.
Wage
- $23 to $25 an hour with a 5% differential in pay for bilingual or multilingual candidates
