As a Resident Care Associate, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to residents in assisted living or nursing home settings. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and document vital signs and health changes, reporting any concerns to the nursing staff.
- Provide companionship and engage residents in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Implement behavior management techniques for residents with developmental disabilities or special needs.
- Support residents with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
- Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and infection control practices.
Experience
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond effectively in emergencies.
- Familiarity with monitoring vital signs and basic healthcare practices is advantageous.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavior management is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
