We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Receptionist/Technician to join our team. The candidate must be able to work weekends, extended hours, and some holidays. The ideal candidate will have strong work ethics and be passionate about the veterinary field. As well as excellent customer service skills, be highly organized, and have a strong knowledge of veterinary medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting clients, scheduling appointments, managing client records, and handling payments. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about animals and wants to make a difference in the lives of our furry friends.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and their pets in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel.
- Schedule appointments in order to best fit the hospital workflow
- Collect payments for services rendered.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
- Keep accurate records of pet health care information.
- Provide basic customer service assistance, such as answering questions about pet care or providing directions to the clinic.
- Client Education
- Minimum of 3-4 years of hands on experience in Veterinary field is preferred.
Use of Avimark veterinary software and bilingual is a PLUS.
- ***Technicians must have the skills to be competent in the following duties. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ability to demonstrate mastery of all routine veterinary technician skills.
- Assist Veterinarians in medical procedures using proper restraint; Being able to comfortably restrain fractious patients.
- Perform vitals of animals including T/P/R, as well as provide treatments/medications intravenously, orally, and subcutaneously.
- Efficiently draw blood on patients and place IV catheters.
- Knowledge of surgical equipment, ability to setup and assist the doctor during surgeries maintaining a sterile field.
- Induce anesthesia, intubate patients and monitor patients under anesthesia.
- Basic Tech Duties such as running diagnostic tests in house
- Assist with X- rays/ radiology positioning
- Caring for pets, educating and communicating with owners.
- Cleaning and maintanance of the hospital.
