Responsibilities:
- Provide safe and supportive respite care in home and community settings
- Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and activities of daily living
- Engage clients in meaningful, age-appropriate activities
- Implement positive behavior reinforcement when needed
- Follow individualized care plans and communicate updates to families and staff
- Maintain a respectful, positive, and safe environment
- Perform light housekeeping related to client care
Qualifications:
- Experience in personal care or a related caregiving role
- Preferred: Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Compassionate, patient, and caring demeanor
- Ability to build trust and positive relationships with clients
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Able to work both independently and as part of a care team
- Flexibility and adaptability — every case is unique
