What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Athletic Trainer position at Graceland University?
Graceland University is seeking a full-time Assistant Athletic Trainer on the Lamoni, Iowa campus. Founded in 1895 and sponsored by Community of Christ, Graceland is a community of passionate, caring, and dedicated individuals who make up a worldwide community network that reaches far beyond its two campuses.
Lamoni is a city in Decatur County, Iowa. The population is about 2,052. Located an hour south of Des Moines; and about 2 hours north of Kansas City on I-35.
This is a 11-month position reporting directly to the Head Athletic Trainer. Graceland University currently serves about 630 student-athletes across 22 varsity sports.
Responsibilities include:
- providing athletic training services in the Athletics Department
- using the Vivature software for injury tracking
- possible supervision of work study students
- other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or Head Athletic Trainer
Qualifications include:
- Master’s degree (preferred) in related field
- NATABOC certified athletic trainer (ATC), in good standing
- minimum of one year experience
- Iowa Athletic Trainer’s license (or eligible)
Additional Compensation includes:
- NATA dues
- State Licensure dues
- Athletic Training Personal Liability Fees
- Some additional funds for CEU’s
Nights and weekends are required as well as some travel.
