Lead Sales Associate
This position is an in-person position located at 104 Southeastern Parkway, Franklin, TN 37064. This position is not eligible for work from home unless otherwise noted or for emergency closures. The standard hours for this position will fall between Monday-Saturday 8am-4pm. Closing shifts may be later as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Lead Sales Associate is responsible for assisting the Retail Manager and Assistant Retail Manager with team leadership, overseeing all daily POS system processes, opening and closing procedures for the GraceWorks Thrift Store, and ensuring excellent customer service standards are met.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
POS System

Become an "expert" on the cash register, knowing how to do returns, all types of transactions, and troubleshooting if required

Facilitate opening and closing cash handling procedures as they relate to opening and closing the GraceWorks Thrift Store at the beginning and end of the workday

Open store and operate cash register during store hours.

Know procedures on how to process Thrift Store vouchers

Balance cash register and perform closing duties, including reports, at the end of day
Customer Service

Treat all customers as an extension of the ministry going beyond good customer service to represent GraceWorks

Assist Neighbors and customers purchasing items with vouchers and help them select items applicable to their vouchers

Be able to share the mission of GraceWorks with any customers

Problem-solve with flexibility, kindness, and common sense
Merchandising

Assist Retail Manager to ensure the GraceWorks Thrift Store is fully stocked with season-appropriate, available merchandise

Maintain order and cleanliness of merchandise

Create displays to showcase merchandise

Assist in evaluating and implementing general pricing and sales strategies

Help determine and implement sales, advertising, and marketing as requested by Retail Manager
Store Facility

Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the store

Ensure an orderly, attractive, customer-friendly environment

Assist in making sure all sales and promotions are highly visible throughout the store and the rest of GraceWorks

Bring any maintenance issues to the Facilities Manager's attention
Other

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED required. At least two years of related experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
