Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care, particularly with individuals with disabilities, memory care needs, or those residing in long-term care facilities. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' mental well-being.
- Observe and report any changes in clients' health status or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Support individuals with disabilities or autism through tailored care approaches that meet their specific needs.
- Collaborate with nursing home staff or group home teams to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and social interaction.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as nursing homes, memory care facilities, or group homes is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and patient observation techniques is essential.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities, including autism, while demonstrating patience and empathy.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- A commitment to maintaining a clean and organized living space for clients.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not mandatory.
