A leading connectivity provider seeks a highly experienced Technology Leader to spearhead the evolution of its digital commerce ecosystem. This critical role will oversee the selection, implementation, and ongoing management of cutting-edge solutions, focusing on omni-channel e-commerce, product information management (PIM), catalog management, and offer management. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in e-commerce platforms, vendor management, and team leadership, preferably within the telecommunications sector. This leader will drive the transition to a next-generation digital commerce platform, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and alignment with strategic business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the comprehensive evaluation and selection process for a new omni-channel e-commerce platform, including market analysis, RFP development, and vendor due diligence.
- Direct the implementation of the chosen platform, ensuring adherence to company standards, compliance requirements, and strategic goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, integration points, and deployment strategies.
- Cultivate and manage strong relationships with e-commerce platform providers and associated vendors, including contract negotiation and performance monitoring.
- Develop and execute detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for the platform implementation.
- Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions to ensure successful delivery.
- Communicate project updates, key milestones, and outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Ensure the platform's robustness, scalability, and ability to support the company’s omni-channel strategy.
- Implement best practices for system maintenance, data integrity, security, and compliance.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives to optimize platform performance, user experience, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with various departments (finance, marketing, sales, customer service, etc.) to ensure the platform aligns with their needs and supports overall business objectives.
- Facilitate training and provide support to end-users to ensure smooth adoption of the new system.
- Gather feedback from stakeholders and users to inform future platform enhancements and updates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Extensive experience (10 years) in omni-channel e-commerce, catalog management, and PIM systems, ideally within the telecommunications industry and with platforms like Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
- Demonstrable expertise in e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud), catalog management, and PIM systems.
- Proven track record of leading and managing IT teams, coupled with strong project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts effectively.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with senior management and stakeholders.
