Overview:
As a Medical Assistant, you will provide top-tier patient support, including venipuncture and clinical services, while ensuring a seamless in-office experience. You will be the first point of contact for patients, assisting with check-ins, scheduling, and various administrative and clinical tasks. This role supports multiple office locations within the region, requiring flexibility and strong teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Experience & Support
- Greet and assist patients, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process.
- Manage same-day scheduling, insurance verification, and patient inquiries.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing concerns with empathy and professionalism.
Clinical Services
- Perform venipuncture and specimen collection for pediatric to geriatric patients.
- Assist with conducting EKGs, vitals, vaccines, PPD tests, ear lavages, and swabs as needed.
- Ensure proper specimen labeling, handling, and processing.
Administrative Duties
- Support providers by handling patient messages, lab follow-ups, and documentation.
- Assist with insurance billing inquiries and medical record management.
- Maintain office cleanliness, organization, and supply restocking.
Team Collaboration
- Participate in team meetings, problem-solving sessions, and daily huddles.
- Work closely with healthcare providers and administrative teams to enhance operations.
- Adapt to changing office needs, including supporting multiple locations.
Qualifications:
- At least 6 months of experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist (outside of training).
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in computer systems and electronic medical records (EMR).
- Ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
- Comfort with adapting to changes and learning new systems quickly.
