Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Your responsibilities will include managing reservations, greeting guests, and maintaining the flow of the restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and a passion for hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems, including Aloha POS.
- Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times to guests accurately.
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
- Assist with phone etiquette by answering calls and taking reservations or inquiries as needed.
- Collaborate with the restaurant staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization in the host/host area, ensuring a pleasant first impression for guests.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus; experience with Aloha POS is highly desirable.
- Excellent phone etiquette and guest service skills are essential for this role.
- A passion for hospitality and helping others create memorable dining experiences is key to success in this position.
