Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service skills, ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, providing excellent guest relations.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the OpenTable system or similar software.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring proper sanitation standards are met.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area.
- Handle cash register transactions accurately, including processing payments and issuing receipts.
- Provide recommendations on menu items, including specials and wine pairings in a fine dining setting.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Address any guest inquiries or concerns promptly to enhance their overall experience.
Experience
- Previous experience in a server role is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing tabs.
- Familiarity with restaurant software such as OpenTable is a plus.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while managing individual responsibilities effectively.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices and food safety regulations is beneficial.
