Inpatient Diabetes Educator - FT - Diabetes Center The Inpatient-Diabetes Educator possesses comprehensive knowledge of and experience in prediabetes, diabetes prevention, and management. The CDE educates and supports people affected by diabetes to understand and manage the condition. Education typically occurs during hospitalization or in a group outpatient setting. The Inpatient Diabetes Educator utilizes diabetes self-management education (DSME) strategies to develop an individual assessment and education plan collaboratively with the individual. The Inpatient Diabetes Educator reports to the Practice Administrator.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDBachelor's Degree : BSN, Masters’ degree in Nursing or Registered Dietician (RD) or Nutritionist.Two (2) or more years of job-related experience.BLS (Basic Life Support)Registered Nurse in the State of GeorgiaCertification as Diabetes Educator (CDE) by the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators (NCBDE) or willingness to complete within one year.Applicable licensure and certification must be current and active for the state of Georgia.Registered Dietician Certification#J-18808-Ljbffr
